About Me

My name is Karlo Novak and I'm extremely ambitious and experienced software engineer based in Zagreb, Croatia.

Currently I work for cybersecurity company Intel471 writing and architecting backend services for security intelligence system operating on huge datasets.

My main point of interest is backend, but I can code anything you can image using my broad and diverse set of skills I've developed over the years. I specialize in writing testable and performant systems with technologies such as Scala, Java, Elixir, TS/JS, React etc. So far I've been using vast number of different technologies and I consider myself proficient with SQL databases, AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS, IoT, CloudWatch, S3, RDS, Redshift...), Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka, Docker, Terraform, Google Firebase, InfluxDB, Redis and many more.

I never hesitate to cope with any programming language or technology so there is a huge list of things I've tried or have been working with but it wouldn't fit this window if I started writing. In my spare time I also code and read a lot of technical books, magazines and articles to progress even more.
